Please note that TAGB may close the registration process earlier than the stated deadline if all available time slots are filled. Considering the popularity of the event we strongly encourage you to submit your entries as soon as possible. For group participation, each participant needs to register seperately and include the name of the group and names of the participants in the text box.

Rules and Guidelines

• The judge’s decision is final. No discussions/arguments will be entertained
• Judging will be done on the basis of Sruthi, Bhaavam, TaaLam, Laya, Gamakam, Diction, Clarity, and Melody
• Each participant will be given 8 minutes to perform for Classical category and 5 mins for the remaining categories. Please practice such that you can stop on time. Some points will be taken away for exceeding the time limit allotted
• Participants can bring their own Sruthi boxes, already set to their pitch (so as not to take additional time setting it)
• Participants should give themselves time to be at the venue during the duration of the event.  Due to multiple genres and age groups, your cooperation is much needed for the smooth execution of this event
• While competition is in progress, please put your phone on mute, stay silent, don’t walk in and out, be respectful to other participants and their performances, so as not to cause any distraction
• Winners will be awarded prizes during the prize distribution ceremony at TAGB Sankranthi Sambaralu on 28th January 2023, at Whitcomb Middle School, 25 Union street, Marlborough, MA 01752.  Winners might be given a chance to perform on stage, subject to time constraints and other terms. TAGB reserves the right to conduct or cancel this. Final decision is at the discretion of the TAGB competitions and cultural committee. Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support
