What to Prepare?

Participants should bring Gutti Vankaya Kura/ Gutti Dondakaya Vepudu (In a 2 quart container or tray) for this Competition.

 

Age Categories for this Competition:

  • One Level ( No age Restriction)

Specific Rule for this Competition 

  • It must be vegetarian and also egg-less.
  • Please submit only ONE recipe.

General Guidelines

In general, we will only consider recipes that our Competitions team feel are complete in regards to ingredients, measurement, and instruction. From there on out, Judges will be looking for creativity, overall recipe and presentation. Oral Presentation has to be done exclusively in Telugu. You must provide ingredients and directions for your recipe.

Submission Rules and Details:

  • Be Creative!
  • Ingredients should be listed with measurements. 
  • Trays should be brought to the venue by sharp 12:00pm. 

  • All contestants will need to arrive at the venue and check in no later than 12:15pm.

  • If needed method must be explained clearly in Telugu to the judges.

  • Please include your NAME along with the recipe (as you would like it to appear).

  • The winners will be featured on the TAGB Facebook page

  • Dress up in our regional costume.

  • Explain the traditional and cultural aspects of your preparation (e.g. festival preparation)

  • Provide a description of your recipe on an attractive display board (for additional points).

  • Judges will grade on eye appeal, aroma, color, texture, taste, degree of difficulty, and overall presentation. It is up to you what your theme is and how you want to present the dish. The judges love creativity!All results are final.

  • While judges are grading your dish, you are not allowed to Interfere, persuade or come in contact anywhere near them. If this happens, disqualification will take place immediately! 

Please Note Guidelines for Display Board:

The display board is a visual representation of your entire project, from question to conclusion. All photos and illustrations should include captions.Your presentation should be self‐explanatory.

  • Display boards of 3-4 ft height (vs 5 ft) are recommended for readability by the judges.

All results are final. Participants are reminded that this is a friendly cooking competition. Sportsmanship is required at all times.

Prizes: Winners will be announced and rewarded on TAGB event day, October 12th at 6:00 PM tentatively. Participants are required to be present at this ceremony.
