Rules for “KESALANKARANAM” Competition

We live fast-paced lives that may look like we’re spending a lot of time together but we’re actually just rushing from one commitment to the next. Work, school, soccer tournaments, birthday parties, robotics competitions, swim meets, violin lessons…the list goes on. While we are doing things with one another, we’re not really spending time with each other. Downtime is an important part of creating a strong family bond. A little competition goes a long way toward bringing a family together. 

Kesalankaranam competitions are those of skill and speed. They're about pushing the fundamentals of styling to their logical conclusion and producing something fantastical. 

Please note: This competition is open to those interested to find their hidden talents. Strictly for non  professionals only.

How to enter:

• Team event (2 members – one who will get her hair done and the other whose hand will be used for hair alankara)
• All Participants & Contestant have to carry their own materials
• Time – 1 hour
• Materials will not be provided at the spot
• Note: Participants  are those who are getting hair done and Contestant  are those who does the alankara 

Register an account at Tagb website As of 01/12/2018 Timings : 12:30 pm till 1:30pm

( Participants should arrive 30 minutes before the competition commences)

Arrival time for Participants : 12:00pm

Level - Ages 4 and up can participated as participants or contestnats. Please do note that each Team consists of both Participant and contestant.

Registration Fees:

• Members: $5
• Non members: $10
• ️Competitors must arrive at the competition at least 30 minutes before the starting time set down in the Competition Timetable.
• ️Once our  competition officially starts, It’s there for one hour and if for some reason any participant joins late then no extra time is given.
• ️Parents may only video their own child. TAGB official photographer can take photos/videos for Organization use only.
• ️Competitors and spectators must NOT enter the judging area during competition.
• ️No teasing of hair, high or wide styles, false hair pieces or color tinting of hair is allowed.
• ️Hair may be curled if preferred and must be neatly groomed, may be worn loose, tied in bunches, ponytail, or half up/half down.
• ️You get your own hair accessories.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: On or before January 12th midnight.

Limited space at the venue- so pre registration is essential

• Do not bring a professional as helper.
• TAGB professional photographer takes individual 2 pictures of participant only and provide at a later date

Judges:

A panel of judges will evaluate and determine the winners.

The judging criteria will be based on:

• Color/texture/pattern
• Design
• Overall Presentation

The competition judges reserve the right to choose the winners at their sole discretion. Although not anticipated, competition rules and prizes may be changed or altered at any time. Any changes will be communicated to registrants and update the website.A

Please Note: 

The competition organizers reserve the right to substitute or modify the judging panel at any time and for any reason. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into by the judges in relation to that decision.

Prizes:

If your team of 2 (Participant & Contestant) is selected as a winner and are unable to accept the prize, you cannot transfer the prize or designate someone else as the winner.

If you are unable or unwilling to claim your prize, we may award it to the next highest scoring entrant..

All participants get a participation certificate signed by President, Cultural Secretary.

Only Contestants (Winners / runners) will  get trophies 

General

• We are not liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by you for taking part or not being able to take part in this competition.
• In the event of unforeseen circumstances, we may alter, amend or cancel the competition without prior notice.
• We reserve the right to change these terms at any time.
• Judges decision is final
