As part of ఉగాది ఉత్సవాలు TAGB is announcing పసిడిపద్యా లు - Telugu Poem Recital contest and
Welcomes all kids to participate.
Who: 3 -16yrs of age Up to / 12th Grade
When: April 16th, 2022
Where: Virtual on zoom
Last day for registration: April 9th, 2022
Zoom link will be sent 1 day prior to the competition
Reporting time for contest: 10AM on April 16, 2022
Prize distribution will be done during ఉగాది ఉత్సవాలు event, on April 23rd, 2022 in
Grafton High School
Participants can pick any of the following 3 levels by reciting either 5, 12 or 20 poems.
Upon successful completion the kids will be recognized as follows:
❖ పద్య పఠన ఆరంభ మణి/ Novice for 5 poems
❖ పద్య పఠన కుశల / Advanced for 12 poems
❖ పద్య పఠన విశారద / Expert for 20 poems
Rules for Poem Recital Competition:
❖ Each participant can decide how many poems she/he wants to recite from the list
provided.
❖ For this contest Poems were chosen from వేమన మరియు సుమతి శతకాలు (Vemana and
Sumati Satakamulu).
❖ Participants will be judged for Fluency, pronunciation, diction, and cadence in reciting the
poems.
❖ Judges’ decision will be final
❖ Prize distribution will be done during ఉగాది ఉత్సవాలు event, on April 23rd, 2022 in Grafton
High School
Participation Fee:
❖ Free for members
❖ $15 for non-members.
No refunds can be considered after registration.
