TAGB 30 Year Celebrations

Thank you for making the TAGB 30 year celebrations grand Success !!

From humble beginnings in 1984, TAGB, the heart and soul of Telugu people living in Greater Boston area, made great strides and celebrated its 30th anniversary on Oct 8th, 2016, in Andover, MA, in a spellbinding and awe-inspiring fashion. The 30th year anniversary celebrations were organized by Steering committee under the leadership of Dr. Haribabu Muddana, Chairman Board of Trustees and President Sri Chandra Talluri. The event was attended by several prominent people including Sri Mohan Nannapaneni, Sri Ravi Ika and Sri Subbu Kota. TV9 Founder Sri Ravi Prakash and Actor Sivaji were invited as special guests. 
 



The much-awaited, well-planned, and equally well-executed celebration was attended by 1200 delighted people and started off in an auspicious manner with Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam. This was followed by Ganapati prayer, Batukamma Vaibhavam, a unique game show, and a never-before-never-after kind of a performance of Kuchipudi dance ballet Sri Krishna Parijatam that paid an ode to creativity and talent of local artists.



Honoring TAGBs special invitation to grace the milestone celebration, several renowned celebrities from India graced the occasion. Prominent lyricist Chandra Bose, actor Sivaji, TV9 CEO Ravi Prakash, Siva Reddy and mimicry Ramesh, rocked the audience with their enthralling speeches and awesome live performances. The audience were drenched in music from the movies rendered melodiously by Super Singers Krishna Chaitanya, Deepu, Lipsika, Anjana Sowmya interspersed with spirited performances from actress Ankita and anchor Mrudula.



TAGB executive committee, felicitated the musical greatness of Sri Annavarapu Ramaswamy, the prominent violinist. TAGB facilitated the first president Smt. Sairani Ravi. TAGB recognized Sri. Mohan Nannapaneni, Dr. Haribabu Muddana, Sri. Prakash Reddy, Sri.reenivas Kaki, Sri.Baburao Polavarapau, Dr Seshagiri Rao Meka, Dr. Seshi Sompuram, Smt Sailaja Chaudhury Tummala and Smt. Padmaja Balabhadrapatruni for their outstanding services in various fields for their service to Telugu Community and also to the sponsors of this event Sri.Ravi Ika, Sri.Sasikant Vallipalli, Sri.Subbu Kota and Sri.Ramana Vavilla. Actor Sivaji and TV9 Founder Sri.Ravi Prakash were felicitated during this celebration. The benevolence and support of sponsors that made the event possible was also recognized and honored. In an effort to bring awareness about environmental pollution TAGB green team demonstrated recycling plastic and food waste, which was appreciated by people.



The day-long gala ended with a look back over the years, the lessons learned, the milestones achieved, and with renewed dedication to TAGBs mission mission which is to bring Telugu people together. The steering committee for this mega event was comprised of following members: Dr. Haribabu Muddana, Mohan Nannapaneni, Sreenivas Kaki, Prakash Reddy, Baburao Polavarapu, Siva Dogiparthi, Srinivas Kollipara, Ramesh Babu Tallam, Murthy Kanneganti, Raja S. Thanks to Vendors who supported the event and Minerva restaurant who provided delicious lunch, dinner and snacks.
An event of such scale and scope was not possible to even conceive without the ardent support of dedicated following volunteers. TAGB leadership duly acknowledged this as well.
