TAGB Cultural Committee – Rules & Guidelines

The TAGB Cultural Committee is committed to presenting high-quality, diverse, and engaging programs that showcase the richness of our Telugu culture. Every program submission will be carefully reviewed to ensure it meets the standards of excellence, inclusivity, and variety before being accepted.

Please review the following rules and guidelines thoroughly before registering. Kindly note that the Cultural Committee’s decision will be final with regard to program selection.

General Guidelines

  • All programs must be in Telugu language, with content that is clean, respectful, and suitable for a family-friendly audience.

  • Telugu language, culture, and attire are strictly enforced without exception.

  • To promote diversity, the number of programs in each category will be limited. Groups with five or more participants will be given preference so that more members can be accommodated.

  • Registration may close earlier than the announced deadline if all time slots are filled. We strongly encourage participants to register as early as possible.

  • The cultural program will run for approximately 4–5 hours, and your performance may be scheduled at any point during that timeframe.

Duration of Performances

  • Film Dances: Maximum duration of 5 minutes.

  • Innovative Programs: Maximum duration of 15 minutes.

  • TAGB reserves the right to waive these limits for programs of exceptional merit that enrich Telugu language, culture, and traditions.

Audio / Video Submissions

  • Accepted participants must submit audio/video files promptly after receiving confirmation.

  • Dance audio tracks must be in Telugu and/or Sanskrit only.

  • In case of duplicate song selections, priority will be given on a first-come, first-served basis, and alternate choices will be requested.

Registration & Participation

  • Participants may perform in multiple programs, but each requires a separate entry with complete details, including age.

  • Entries must be submitted before the deadline; late entries may or may not be accommodated, depending on overall program length.

  • The Cultural Committee endeavors to include as many entries as possible. Programs not selected are encouraged to resubmit for future TAGB events.

  • Once a program is accepted, the Treasurer will email payment instructions. Payment must be completed for final confirmation. Instructions for uploading audio files will follow after payment is received.

Performance Day Rules

  • Participants must report on time for their scheduled performance.

  • Late arrivals will forfeit their slot and cannot be rescheduled, as the program runs on a very tight schedule.

  • TAGB will strictly enforce time limits and schedules in fairness to all participants.

Final Note

The Cultural Committee sincerely values your contribution in celebrating our Telugu heritage. We request your cooperation in following these guidelines so we can collectively deliver a memorable and enriching cultural experience.
